Does it matter if I’ve never done yoga or pilates before?
Not at all! Our classes are open to all levels of experience. We do offer beginners type yoga and pilates classes that run through the foundations and fundamentals of each practice. However, the exercises done in all our classes are easily modified to suit both the beginner and advanced. Contact us on 9808 5555 and ask for our recommendations on the best classes for you.
What do I need to wear or bring to class?
Ideal clothing is anything comfortable, light and stretchy. Classes are done barefoot or in socks. We supply all yoga mats, blocks and straps and pilates foam rollers used in classes.
Are yoga and pilates mainly for women?
Far from it! Pilates was in fact invented by a man, Joseph Pilates, originally for his own benefit. Yoga and pilates are extremely beneficial for both women and men.
How is yoga different to stretching and other kinds of exercise?
Yoga is unique in the sense that it connects the movement of the body and the fluctuations of the mind to the rhythm of breath. This inevitably directs attention inward and through this process, self-awareness is built. From this grows both mind and body flexibility. This is what makes yoga a practice rather than just a task or exercise.
I’m not flexible – can I still do yoga?
Yes! You do yoga to get flexible! To think you need to be flexible to do yoga is a little bit like thinking you need to be able to play tennis to take tennis lessons. Come as you are and you will gain flexibility through your yoga practice.
I’m not strong – can I still do pilates?

Why should I not eat 2 hours before class?
In yoga and pilates classes you will be twisting from side to side, bending forward and backwards etc. If you have not fully digested your last meal, it will make itself known to you and may not be comfortable. If you are a person with a fast-acting digestive system and are afraid you might get hungry or feel weak during class, experiment with a light snack such as yoghurt, nuts, or a juice about 30 minutes to an hour before class.
Can I buy memberships and class passes as gift vouchers?
Yes! We love sharing the gift of movement. You can purchase gift vouchers at the studio before your next class. Watch this space as soon these vouchers will be available to purchase through our online store!
Do you have an app?
Indeed we do! Click Here to download the Wellness Living Achieve app on Andriod or iPhone. This app will allow you to book into classes and manage your account.
